BRAVELY SECOND ATC SWAP

Hello! Thank you for your interest in the Bravely Second Fan Art ATC Swap. ATC is short for Artist Trading Cards. In this swap you'll create 3 cards to trade. Once you're done you will send your completed cards to me (vanie, the host) and I will mix them up and mail you back 3 random new cards from other participating artists for your collection! :)Please note that this swap is intended to be a physical swap, so I will be asking permission for your physical mailing address so I can mail you your cards. If you're making physical cards, you can mail the cards to me I will repack them and send you new cards in return. Think of it as having an ATC Bravely themed Happy Mail Package sent right to you.If you do not feel comfortable sharing your information I can also send you digital only submissions (with approval from all digital parties). I won't be keeping any digital files after printing/sending so your artwork will go to the recipient only. Please be respectful to everyone participating. This swap is for fun, I hope you enjoy it!Please review the rules and specs below. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me!

ATC Specs & Rules

ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) are generally the size of a standard trading card (2.5"x3.5" or 3.5"x2.5"). The front side should have your artwork, and back could have your artist information so your recipient knows who you are (and if you want how to contact or follow you!) This is all optional, if you want to remain anonymous, that is fine too.Artwork can be done traditionally
or digitally, but needs to be cut to trading card size.
All completed artwork will be sent to me (vanie) directly, either digitally or physically. Once I receive all artwork I will shuffle them randomly so you will receive 3 artwork from different artists.I will be asking for your physical mailing address with your permission so I can send you your cards directly in a happy mail package. :)DUE DATE : JANUARY 30, 2025
You should receive your cards within February-Early March 2025 in the mail.

FAQ

Here I try to answer any questions regarding the swap. What are the ATC specifications?
ATCs should be 2.5"x3.5" (3.5"x2.5" is also okay). The front side should be your artwork, and the back can have your artist name (whatever you want to be known as), social media information etc. This is all optional. If you wish to remain anonymous, that is fine too.
Can I make my cards digitally?
This is fine! You can send me your file and I can print and cut your copies to trade with others. Just let me know what you want on the back side (if you want to share your artist information). If you want to print yourself and mail them physically to me, that's fine too.
What type of paper should I use for physical traditional cards?
Anything that is a little thickness is fine. Anything but printing paper, probably. If you think your paper is too thin, you can also mount it on something thicker if you prefer. Art supply stores also sell ATC sized cards, but you do not need to purchase. Cutting to size is fine.
I usually use Bristol board or watercolor paper for my own cards.Does the orientation of the artwork matter?
You can draw with your canvas vertical or horizontal, whatever works best for your vision!
Will I be assigned a character, or can I draw anyone I want?
You can draw whatever character from BRAVELY SECOND! This is a BSEL themed swap, so preferably someone from the second game. It can be a main character or an asterisk, or even a location if you prefer! You can even draw more than one character if you want, if the canvas fits.
Will I know who my recipient will be?
No, it's all a surprise!
What will digital artwork be printed on?
I will print your digital cards on glossy photo paper and hand cut to size.
Can I receive my cards digitally instead?
That's fine! If you choose this option you will receive only digital artwork in return.
When will I receive my swaps?
You should receive them within February-Early March 2025, if there are no delays.
What happens if my package is lost in the mail?
If your package never arrives, please tell me immediately. I will provide you with replacement artwork (either done by me or if anyone volunteers).
I scan all cards when I receive them to include in a printable zine for all participants. If your cards get lost in the mail I can also reprint them just for you.If your artwork gets lost in the mail on its way to me, you still get a card in return from me. If you can take a picture of your artwork before sending, I can still include it in the printable zine.

Thank you for participating!
